Joe Bowles - Pastor

Joseph A. Bowles - Pastor

Our pastor, Joseph A. Bowles, was born in Lebanon, Indiana, but moved with his family to Plant City as a child.  He was saved at the age of 15 and baptized at the age of 21.  Brother Joe was baptized, married, licensed, and ordained here at Shiloh.

Brother Joe graduated from Plant City High School.  He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida, and his Master's degree from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.   He has been a school teacher and varsity baseball coach at Gulf High School and served as a Social Worker prior to being a Pastor.

He is married to the former Susan Wall, and has 5 children. Their four daughters are Brittany, Lindsay, Bailey, Kelsey and they have a son Evan. Bro. Joe became our pastor on May 15, 1978.

Michael Stevens - Student Pastor

Michael Stevens - Associate Pastor/Minister to Students

Michael was born and raised in Plant City, Florida.  He was saved and baptized at the age of 15 at Springhead Baptist Church in Plant City.  Michael received his Bachelor's degree from Trinity College of Florida in New Port Richey.  He was licensed and ordained at First Baptist Grant in Alabama where he served there for 4 years as Associate Pastor/Student Minister.   Prior to entering the ministry, Michael worked in the restaurant business, in sales at Circuit City and as a Trainer at Progressive Insurance.  He is married to the former Jessica O'Rourke and has three children:  Jacob, Rachel and Naomi Grace.  They are expecting their fourth child Rebekah in July.  Bro. Michael became our Associate Pastor/Minister to Students on February 19th, 2006

Mark Willis - Music Minister

Mark Willis - Music Minister

Our Minister of Music, Mark Willis was born in Endicott New York in 1960. He was saved and baptized at eight years of age. In 1975 Mark surrendered to Gods call to full time ministry and was licensed by Sunshine Baptist Church in New Port Richey Fl. After one year of marriage to Nancy (Alonso) they left Florida to attend Liberty University where Mark Received a Bachelor's Degree in Music. Mark has worked in the construction, grocery, automotive, broadcasting, and printing industries prior to and during ministry. Mark and Nancy have two children Jonathan and Rachel. Mark became our Music Minister on March 28, 2005

Barry Foret - Sr. Adult Minister

Barry Foret - Minister to Senior Adults

Barry was born on September 21, 1947 in Houma, Louisiana.  He was saved at the age of 26 and was baptized at the First Baptist Church of Thibodeaux, Louisiana.  Barry was called to preach in 1972 and ordained to the ministry in 1996. Barry has served numerous churches as Minister of Music and as Senior Adult Minister. He has attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He also sings in a Gospel quartet, The Palm State Quartet. He loves golf and music.  He has been married to the former Carolyn Roundtree since October 11, 1969. Barry and Carolyn have two children and two grandchildren. Barry has served as our Senior Adult Pastor since 2000.

Wesley Rounds - Associate Pastor

Wesley Rounds - Minister of Evangelism/Education

Wesley Rounds was saved at the age of seventeen and was baptized at the Knights Baptist Church in Plant City.  He was licensed here at the Shiloh Baptist Church and was ordained by Shiloh in 1984.  Wesley graduated from Plant City High School.  He completed the Fellowship Program at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland.  Wesley served as the Fire Chief for the City of Plant City and has served two different churches as their Interim Pastor. Wesley is married to the former Sharolyn (Shari) Smith and has one son, Simon.   Wesley began serving our church as Associate Pastor in 1980.

Rick Galloway - Adults Minister

Rick Galloway - Minister to Adults

Rick Galloway was born on January 10, 1950 in Sanford, Florida. He was saved and baptized at the age of 13. After graduating from Seminole High School in 1968, he enlisted in the Army. While in the Army, Rick married his high school sweetheart, Chris, on January 10, 1970. Rick and Chris moved to Germany until he was discharged in 1971. He then attended the University of Central Florida, graduating in 1976 with a degree in sociology. Through the years Rick has been a public school teacher, a detention officer, an insurance agent, and was involved in medical sales.  He has also served as a deacon, Minister of Music and Youth at Berea Baptist Church and as the Interim Pastor of the SonLife Baptist Church. In 2005, Rick began serving our church as an Associate Pastor. Rick and Chris have two sons, Rick and Rob.  They have also raised their nephew, Jeremy, and their niece, Amy. Presently, they are raising their nephew, Landon.  Rick's hobbies include music, golf, tennis, and Little League Baseball.

Trevor Thomas - Drama Evangelist

Trevor Thomas - Drama Evangelist

Trevor Thomas is busy at churches all over the country.  Trevor began performing in early childhood putting on plays and puppet shows for the neighborhood kids.  Trevor was cast in his high-school plays and in several productions at the University of South Florida in Tampa, where he earned a bachelor's degree in communication with a minor in theatre performance.  In 1991, at the age of 18, he began traveling and performing at churches and events. A year later, after much prayer and counseling, Trevor surrendered to the call of full-time ministry.  Trevor makes approximately 180 appearances a year. He also conducts drama workshops and seminars at churches and national and state drama festivals where he teaches the basics of acting and directing. www.trevorthomasdramaministries.com

Lindy Murray - Children's Minister

Lindy Murray - Children's Ministry Coordinator

Lindy was born in Plant City, Florida.  She was saved and baptized at the age of 12 at the Springhead Baptist Church in Plant City. She graduated from Plant City High School. She married and joined her husband, Jeff, in Virginia as he finished his 4 years of duty in the Navy. They returned to Florida and then started a family. They have a daughter, Ashley, and a son, Jeffrey. Lindy worked a small business from her home, served on her children's school PTA board for 4 years, received District Parent Award in 2002, and was an employee in the Head Start Program.  Lindy became our Children's Ministry Coordinator on October 5, 2005.

Susan Bowles - Pastor's Secretary

Susan Bowles - Pastor's Secretary

Susan is a native of Plant City and a graduate of Plant City High School.  She is married to our pastor Joe Bowles and they have 5 children and 5 grandchildren.  She has worked as church secretary at Shiloh from 1984-1989.  She took time off when twin daughters were born in 1989 and then son was born in 1993.  She then returned back to work at Shiloh in 1995 as the Pastor's Secretary.

Samantha Long - Financial Secretary

Samantha has been a member of Shiloh since 1998.  She is married to Joel and they have five sons: Keven, Tyler, Ryan, Andrew, and Daniel.
